![]() If nothing else, it's an easy way to demonstrate to a friend how MikuMikuDance works - specifically, its ability to create all the in-between frames needed for a smooth animation. The MMD Hands are quite complicated on their own! Initially, I decided to create a set of hand poses that I could quickly install as I worked on my animations. I compiled all the hand poses into a zip file that you can download from the Downloads Page... and there's an image showing all the poses. Just like with any other "motion," you need to consider the setup before loading a hand pose. If you're in frame 70, for example, and haven't adjusted a hand pose since frame Zero, and then you load a new hand pose, you'll see that when you press play, the hand will slowly move from its original position in frame Zero until it reaches the new pose in frame 70 - which might not be what you want. Therefore, make sure to copy the original hand pose from frame Zero and paste it into a few frames before placing the new pose. ![]() What is a VPD file? How do you load a pose? With this in mind, I prefer starting in frame Zero with one of my standard hand poses so that at any time I can have my model assume that original hand pose. MikuMikuDance comes with four default hand poses inside the Pose folder, located within the UserFile folder. All four of them are hand poses and note that they all have the ".pose" file extension.
